Barcelona are in contact with Ademola Lookman’s agents ahead of a potential summer approach, with a host of other sides also keen.
According to Caught Offside, Ademola Lookman does appear to have a lot of interest gathering in the background, with Barcelona taking the next steps following contacts with his agents. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are also among those keen on the Atalanta attacker, who seems destined to leave Italy in the summer.
Ademola Lookman continues to enjoy his time over at Atalanta, after another productive season where Gian Piero Gasperi’s side are very close to challenging for the Serie A title. The current campaign might be his last with the Bergamo side, as a host of top teams are lining up with a move ahead of this summer.
Lookman wants a move back to London, and to his benefit, there are some clubs in the city interested in signing the 27-year-old Serie A attacker. Arsenal and Liverpool are among those interested, while there’s big admiration from the likes of Manchester United for the winger.
The Premier League trio are looking for attacking reinforcements in the summer, and have earmarked Lookman among the options they would like to consider. The biggest threat to those English clubs could come from Barcelona, who are closely monitoring his situation.
Atalanta wants around €65 million as per the report, which might be a bit problematic for Barcelona given their well-documented financial troubles. However, a recent report linking the Catalans with Luis Diaz indicated they have set aside €60-70 million for an attacking signing, which could be the reason why they are chasing Lookman among other options.

They also hold a strong interest in Liverpool’s Diaz, although there’s a likelihood that they might chase the Atalanta attacker with all seriousness. As things stand, the Catalan club have contacted the Nigerian’s camp, with the view of approaching in the summer.
Whether Barcelona are serious about the interest in Lookman remains to be seen, although there’s a chance of landing a new wide attacker to add to their current depth. Lookman’s preference might also play a big role, although should the Catalans make an approach, it might prove difficult to turn down for the 27-year-old Serie A attacker.
