Newcastle United prepared to pay £50 million to beat Arsenal, Manchester United to Bryan Mbeumo

Newcastle United are reportedly willing to pay the £50 million needed to land Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo, as they face competition for the Cameroonian.

According to Caught Offside, Newcastle United are angling a move for Brentford’s star attacker Bryan Mbeumo in the summer. The Magpies are reportedly open to paying the £50 million needed to land the Cameroonian winger but face big competition from other Premier League rivals in the race for the Cameroonian.

Bryan Mbeumo has had a fantastic season, where he not only filled the void left by Ivan Toney but made himself big in this Brentford side. The Cameroonian has 21 goals and assists this season, with only one of those coming outside of the Premier League campaign.

The Cameroonian will have one year left on his deal in the summer, although Brentford does hold the option to extend it by another season. The Bees are reportedly demanding at least £50 million to let the winger leave, which will be seen as steep by some suitors, but not Newcastle United.

Newcastle United are keen on Mbeumo and reportedly willing to pay the £50 million needed to sign the winger in the summer. The Magpies are eager to land the attacker to pair him alongside Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, which does make their frontline look daunting ahead of the next season.

The big aspect of this particular transfer might be related to Newcastle’s ability to make it to next season’s Champions League. For now, they are well on course, as being in the competition does allow the club additional revenues to make their moves in the transfer window.

Newcastle United face big competition for Bryan Mbeumo

Brentford are already bracing for offers to come in for Mbeumo, with the winger already attracting big interest from Liverpool earlier. Arsenal and Manchester United had asked for information before, which suggests the 21 G/A Premier League forward is on their list.

Newcastle United will be eager to get ahead of the competition in the summer, as Eddie Howe would ideally want to bring in another quality forward rather than lose his current starters. Hence, it will be an interesting battle for the Cameroonian, with the Magpies keen to bring him to St James Park ahead of their rivals.
