Manchester United have reportedly contacted Olympiacos to enquire about 17-year-old Greek attacking sensation Charalampos Kostoulas.
According to a report by Greek outlet Sportime, Charalampos Kostoulas is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils constantly scour the market for highly-rated prospects and have set their sights on the Olympiacos wonderkid. The Premier League heavyweights have contacted the Red-Whites to enquire about the 17-year-old attacking sensation.
Who is Charalampos Kostoulas?
Charalampos Kostoulas is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. A versatile attacker, the teenage sensation is primarily a striker but can also play a supporting role to the centre-forward. He began his youth career at Agia Anna Volos before joining Olympiacos in 2017.
The 17-year-old rapidly progressed through the ranks at Olympiacos before breaking into the first-team squad in the early days of the 2024/25 campaign. The youngster has enjoyed his breakthrough at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium this term, turning out 33 times thus far while chipping in with six goals and two assists.
Meanwhile, Kostoulas’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing the Greek attacking sensation, with Manchester United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Manchester United’s interest in Charalampos Kostoulas is hardly surprising. The Red Devils constantly scour the market for highly-rated prospects. That has helped the Premier League giants sign current first-team players like Alejandro Garnacho, Patrick Dorgu, and Ayden Heaven, among others. Kostoulas is the latest wonderkid to emerge on Manchester United’s radar.
The youngster is a viable target for Manchester United, and he can compete with Chido Obi-Martin for the central striker’s berth. The Red Devils have already taken matters into their own hands, approaching Olympiacos to enquire about the highly-rated attacker’s availability in the summer transfer window. However, the Greek giants want to keep the teenage sensation at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium for at least one more season.
So, Manchester United must turn Kostoulas’s head to inch closer to securing his services in the summer transfer window. However, it will not be surprising to see Olympiacos demanding a premium to part ways with the 17-year-old striker in the coming months if push comes to shove.
