Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United will have to fork out a massive €120 million to sign Barcelona star forward Raphinha.
According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Raphinha, who has been on fire for Barcelona in the ongoing campaign. While he is a key figure in Hansi Flick’s team, the Catalan giants are ready to part ways with him if an offer worth around €120 million arrives.
Raphinha was on the verge of leaving the Catalan giants last summer, but Flick convinced him to continue at the club. While he has been a consistent performer for them over the years, the Brazilian seems to have taken his game to the next level this season.
He has been involved in a total of 42 matches and has contributed towards 47 goals (27 goals, 20 assists). His performances have played a big part in their dominant run across competitions. While he is a very important part of Flick’s plans going forward, Barcelona are still willing to part ways with the Brazilian because of their delicate financial situation.
Manchester United are plotting a raid on Barcelona
They would be ready to sanction his departure as long as they receive an offer reaching €120 million. Manchester United have emerged as a potential destination for the 28-year-old. The Premier League giants want to bring him back to England as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of next season.
United will certainly undergo massive changes in the summer as Ruben Amorim will look to bring in players who can help him better implement his style of play. With Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony likely to be offloaded permanently in the summer, United will certainly go after some big names.
The Portuguese manager will look to sign proven stars who can help them bounce back after a disappointing campaign. Raphinha is quite high on their wishlist, as he can feature as a number ten as well as up top when needed.
While they are keen on signing him, Barcelona’s high demands could complicate things. They will have to consider whether it is worth it to fork out that big a fee for the 28-year-old winger.
