Manchester United regularly scouting Kenan Yildiz, Chelsea make approach

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing 19-year-old Turkish attacking sensation Kenan Yildiz from Serie A club Juventus in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Italian outlet Tuttosport, Kenan Yildiz is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a versatile attacker and have regularly scouted the Juventus wonderkid. Meanwhile, the youngster is a target for Chelsea, with the West London club asking “for information from the Turkish talent’s entourage”.

The rising stock of Kenan Yildiz

Kenan Yildiz has established himself as one of the best young prospects in Serie A since joining Juventus from Bayern Munich in July 2022. The German-born Turk did not take long to establish a foothold in the first-team squad at the Turin club, enjoying his breakthrough with the Bianconeri during the 2023/24 campaign.

The 19-year-old has not been as prolific as he would have liked in the 2024/25 season, managing only six goals and four assists in 41 appearances across all competitions thus far. However, Yildiz’s stock in the market remains high, with several well-known clubs across Europe setting their sights on him.

Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing the Juventus wonderkid, with Chelsea and Manchester United vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window. The Blues have “for information from the Turkish talent’s entourage”, while the Red Devils have had “numerous presences” in the Serie A club’s games to watch the youngster.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Chelsea’s interest in Kenan Yildiz makes sense. The Blues are scouring the market for a versatile attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku. So, the Juventus attacking sensation is a viable target for Chelsea.

As for Manchester United, Yildiz is an ideal candidate to fit in Ruben Amorim’s gradually fledgling system at Old Trafford. The German-born Turk can play behind the striker, making him an option worth considering for Manchester United.

The report does not mention Juventus’s asking price to part ways with the 19-year-old Turkish international. However, it will not be surprising to see the Serie A giants demanding a hefty sum to part ways with the highly-rated forward in the summer transfer window.
