Hamza Igamane could push for Rangers exit this summer

Everton and other suitors of Hamza Igamane could be alerted after reports emerged of the striker now being open to leaving Rangers.

According to Football Insider, Everton and a host of other teams were put on high alert as Hamza Igamane could depart Rangers in the summer. The Ibrox striker has had a fantastic first season in Scotland which has some of the clubs looking to sign him in the summer.

Hamza Igamane has been a sensational buy for Rangers from last summer. Signed for a £2.5 million fee, the Moroccan striker is at least ten times that sum following a prolific start to life at Ibrox. The African attacker has contributed to 17 goals in all competitions this season, which has alerted a host of Premier League clubs.

Everton were keen before the winter transfer window, but there was no chance that Rangers would sell the striker then. Having had only six months at the club, and the prolific form he has been in, the fans at Ibrox would have been livid had the club thought about selling him.

However, things could be different in the summer, as the report states that Igamane is open to leaving Rangers for a club in one of the top-five leagues. Everton are one of those still keen on the striker, as David Moyes will look to add to his attacking setup in the summer.

There could be a departure for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with Everton not willing to sanction a sale in January. The striker will leave on a free transfer, which does leave a big gap in their side, something Moyes is hoping to fill with multiple players, with Igamane being one of those.

Where will Hamza Igamane join?

Everton could be a good start to Igamane’s career in the Premier League, but the Toffees are not the only interested party. A host of other clubs are keen on the African striker, who could then choose from among his top options.

While there might be a few teams bigger in stature than Everton, Moyes’s side still could pull the player towards them in many ways possible. For now, he has a long-term deal at Ibrox, and to get him out of Rangers, the Toffees or any other team will have to pay big.
