Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Newcastle United are all interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic, who could be available for a cut-price this summer.
According to a report from Football Insider, Dusan Vlahovic could end up parting ways with Juventus after the end of the ongoing season. He could be available for a cut-price fee due to his contract situation, and Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Newcastle United are all prepared to capitalize on the opportunity.
Vlahovic made a name for himself at Fiorentina before making the move to Juventus at the start of 2022. While he has not really done wonders for them, the 25-year-old has done a decent job, and he has been a consistent feature in their XI.
The Serb has been involved in 34 games in the ongoing campaign, and he has contributed towards 16 goals. While the Juventus striker remains a key figure for the Serie A club, his future has been a massive talking point of late.
Vlahovic’s contract at the Turin-based club runs until the summer of 2026. With the Serbian international all set to enter the final year of his deal, Juventus are looking to cash in on him. Contract renewal talks have not gone according to plan, and it seems he won’t be extending his stay.
As a result, the Old Lady do not want to risk losing out on him for free next year. The report suggests he could be available for just £25 million. With him likely to be available for a bargain fee, multiple top clubs from England are keen on his signature.
Tottenham keen on signing Dusan Vlahovic
Tottenham want to sign the 25-year-old. They are always searching for major opportunities in the market and see this as a valuable chance to strengthen their attack. Despite signing Dominic Solanke, Spurs have not been able to address the issue in the final third.
The Lilywhites have struggled to find the back of the net, and Postecoglou is pushing to add another top striker to his squad. Vlahovic, with his abundance of experience at the highest level, could do wonders for them. But Tottenham’s pursuit will depend on whether they secure European football for next season.
Aston Villa and Newcastle United to compete with Tottenham
Tottenham will face competition from Newcastle United and Aston Villa, who might be able to offer him some sort of European action. With Alexander Isak’s future uncertain, Vlahovic could be a great acquisition for the Magpies.
As far as Aston Villa are concerned, Ollie Watkins is the only out-and-out striker option in their squad and they certainly need more quality in the final third as Marcus Rasford and Marco Asensio could return to their parent clubs after their loan move expires in the summer.
