Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Portuguese international Vitinha from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Vitinha is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are scouring the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Luka Modric’s future. So, the Paris Saint-Germain mainstay has emerged as a target, although a deal might not see the light of day.
The rise of Vitinha at PSG
Vitinha has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world since joining Paris Saint-Germain from FC Porto in July 2022. A native of Vila das Aves, he spent his formative years in Portugal, starting his youth career at CB Póvoa Lanhoso before graduating from the academy at FC Porto.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder has risen in prominence during his spell with PSG, going from strength to strength in the last two and a half years. The player has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for the reigning Ligue 1 champions while chipping in with 17 goals and 11 assists.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese midfielder’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Real Madrid will be among the prospective suitors vying for the PSG midfield mainstay’s signature heading into the summer transfer window.
