Conor Bradley and Liverpool are reportedly in talks over a bumper new contract that will hand the 21-year-old full-back a 650 per cent pay rise.
According to a report by The Sun, Liverpool will aim to tie Conor Bradley to a bumper new deal in the coming weeks. The Reds are in a spot of bother over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s situation and want to secure his understudy’s long-term future. The 21-year-old’s next contract will hand him an eye-watering 650 per cent pay rise.
Conor Bradley and his constantly rising stock
Conor Bradley has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Premier League since breaking into the first-team squad at Liverpool FC. A native of Castlederg, the Northern Irishman spent most of his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at St. Patrick’s FC and Dungannon Swifts FC before joining Liverpool in September 2019.
The 21-year-old progressed through the ranks at the Merseyside club before making his first-team bow in September 2021. However, the youngster had to wait until the 2023/24 season to enjoy his Liverpool breakthrough, with a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers aiding his progress.
The Northern Ireland international has already turned out 50 times thus far for Liverpool while chipping in with one goal and nine assists. Bradley has been an excellent understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold, stepping up and making his mark whenever he has received an opportunity.
However, with Liverpool in a spot of bother over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s long-term future amid his links with Real Madrid, they want to tie Conor Bradley to a bumper new contract. The Reds are already in talks with their breakout star’s representatives over terms that will hand the youngster a 650 per cent pay rise.
What next?
The 21-year-old Northern Irishman’s current contract hands him £10,000-a-week wages. However, the new deal will see him pocketing a £75,000-a-week salary. While Bradley penned his ongoing terms 15 months ago, Liverpool will aim to tie him to a five-year contract in the coming weeks.
With Alexander-Arnold closing in on joining Real Madrid, tying Bradley to a five-year contract is sensible. Going up to £75,000-a-week wages will be a more than deserved pay rise for the Northern Ireland international, and an agreement should be close.
