Juventus have entered the race for the services of Manchester United ace Antony who is impressing on loan at Real Betis.
According to a report from Fichajes, Juventus are interested in signing Antony who has got his career back on track since joining Real Betis on loan in the recent winter transfer window. The Old Lady have entered the race for his signature and could knock on Manchester United’s door next summer.
Antony made a name for himself while playing for Ajax. His impressive performances along with his massive potential convinced United to fork out a massive €95 million to sign the Brazilian winger. While there was never really any doubt about his abilities, the 24-year-old couldn’t manage to establish himself in their first team.
He struggled to adapt to the demands of the Premier League and eventually went way down the pecking order at Old Trafford. While he expected to get another run in the team following Ruben Amorim’s arrival, things didn’t go according to plan for him.
Antony’s move to Real Betis
Since he wasn’t an important part of the Portuguese manager’s plans, the Red Devils decided to sanction his departure mid-season. Real Betis were keen on adding him to their squad and they struck a deal with the Manchester-based club to sign the Brazilian on a short loan spell.
While he was struggling to get going at United, Antony has established himself as a key figure in Manuel Pellegrini’s team in no time. He is off to a flying start at the Spanish club and has four goal contributions in his five outings.
His pace and his ability to take on defenders have done wonders for Betis. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there are clubs that will try to prise him away from United next summer.
