Ange Postecoglou wants Tottenham to sign Liverpool and Arsenal target Eberechi Eze in the summer on a priority basis.
According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Ange Postecoglou has asked for the signing of Eberechi Eze. The Australian manager is keen on reinforcing his attack ahead of next season, and he believes the Crystal Palace star could be an ideal replacement for Son Heung-min.
Eze has only gone from strength to strength since joining Crystal Palace in the summer of 2020. He has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League. While there was no shortage of interest in him last summer, the 26-year-old decided to continue at Selhurst Park for another season.
However, he is unlikely to be around next season as the English international feels he is ready to take the next step in his career. The Eagles are well aware of the increasing interest in Eberechi Eze, and they will point straight to his release clause of over £60 million for a move away from the club.
Tottenham want to bring Eze to North London
Tottenham are one of the clubs that have a long-standing interest in Eberechi Eze. Both the club and manager Ange Postecoglou are looking at the 26-year-old as their top target for the next summer window.
Spurs could end up parting ways with Son Heung-min ahead of next season, and they feel Eze could be an ideal candidate to take his place in the team. While he prefers playing as a no. 10, the Crystal Palace attacking mainstay can also feature on either flank.
Even if the South Korean stays at the club for another season, Eze could be a great investment for their project, and they are pushing to bring him to North London as they look to bring an end to their struggles. While Spurs have him as their top target, they could face competition from rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Reds are looking to prepare for life without Mohamed Salah and the versatile Eze could be a great acquisition for them as he has years of Premier League experience. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta seeks more quality on the left flank, and he is also looking for someone who can cover for Martin Odegaard, Eze could solve both those problems at Arsenal.
