Tottenham have held ‘internal discussions’ as they consider a move for Moise Kean, although fellow suitors Arsenal are not very interested.
According to Give Me Sport, Tottenham have added Moise Kean to their list of striker targets ahead of next summer and held ‘internal discussions’ about a summer move for the prolific Fiorentina forward. Fellow suitors and North London rivals Arsenal are also keen, but they are eager to wait for longer before considering the Italian for a move.
Moise Kean has set out on a path to prove his doubters wrong this season following a prolific campaign with Fiorentina. The Italian international has had a demanding career so far, and barring a prolific season on loan at PSG, he has never hit double figures up until now, as he has contributed to 21 goals for Fiorentina this term.
Kean was mentioned in many reports during the winter transfer window, but it was always difficult to sign him midway through the season. Fiorentina will be bracing for offers in the summer, and Tottenham appear to be one of those keen to sign the Italian striker.
Spurs failed with a late move for Santiago Gimenez in January and ended up signing Mathys Tel. Yet, they are keen to figure out a new striker in the summer, as there might be considerable doubts about Richarlison’s long-term future, with some reports suggesting Tottenham have grown tired of the player. In contrast, others have stated that the Brazilian might be looking to leave the club.
In any case, Tottenham have held ‘internal discussions’ over Moise Kean as a potential target for the summer, which could turn into an official approach later. As per the report, Spurs might find it a bit difficult given Kean has a £43 million release clause, and considering the day and age of PSR, they could struggle to pay the fee in one swift payment.
Arsenal are not ‘very interested’ in Kean
Arsenal were reportedly offered the chance to sign Moise Kean in January as Mikel Arteta’s side continued to search for a new striker. The Gunners have an interest in the Fiorentina man, but there are some lingering doubts in the background.
As per another report on Give Me Sport, Arsenal have Kean on their list of potential strikers, although they want to wait longer to see if Italy has consecutive seasons with prolific numbers. This means the Gunners are not expected to make a move in the upcoming summer window. In any case, they have other names higher up on their priority list, such as Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko.
