Arsenal ready to offer €100 million to sign Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay a fee of around €100 million to secure the signing of Benjamin Sesko in the summer from RB Leipzig.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are earmarking the signing of Benjamin Sesko as an important piece of business in the summer, as they are willing to fork out €100 million to sign the striker. The potential large investment signals Mikel Arteta’s eagerness to land the Slovenian from RB Leipzig, although there will be questions about his actual valuation.

Arsenal’s search for a top-draw striker is set to dominate talks around their summer business in the market. Mikel Arteta’s current squad are hit with massive injuries as Kai Havertz’s season-ending hamstring problems are only the tip of wide-ranging problems for other players, including Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The latter dup are still expected to make a return in a month, but the other two have been ruled out of the remainder of the season. In any case, the Gunners were determined to land a viable attacker to make up the shortages in January. Still, they failed to land any, as they also conceded defeat in their loose hunt to land Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal are extremely keen to sign Sesko in the summer as they were in 2024, given he’s seen as a player that suits their plan for the future. Havertz is viewed as the starting centre-forward for Arteta’s side, and probably the reason why Sesko chose to stay put at RB Leipzig last summer when he had a chance to join the Gunners.

Arsenal have other names on their list, such as Alexander Isak, who is reported to be Arteta’s dream choice, but the finances around this deal could prove difficult to land the Swede. The Gunners have identified Sesko as a priority target ahead of next summer, as they might make a concerted effort to land the striker with 19 goals and assists for RB Leipzig in all competitions this season.

Arsenal are willing to pay €100 million for Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal is reportedly willing to pay €100 million to land Sesko, which might be a big commitment for a striker who is still developing his game. One might assume this might be a price range for the promising forward, given there’s competition with Chelsea, one of those keen. However, should the Gunners fork out a price in that figure, they will assert the importance of landing the Slovenian for their project under Arteta.

There will be questions asked about the valuation of the player, although the Gunners were open to spending big on project players like Mykhailo Mudryk a couple of years ago. While the €100 million price point might not be what Sesko is worth, he might even potentially be made available for a lot less, although Arsenal’s insistence on landing the Slovenian might see Leipzig maximise the player’s value.
