AC Milan are gearing up to make a €60 million offer for the services of Liverpool attacker Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool are considering parting ways with Darwin Nunez who has failed to reach the expected levels and according to a report from Fichajes, AC Milan have emerged as a potential destination for the Uruguayan international. The Italian giants are willing to table an offer worth €60 million to acquire his services.
Nunez made quite a name for himself while playing for Portuguese giants Benfica. On the back of his performances and his massive potential, he made the move to Anfield in the summer of 2022. Liverpool made him the most expensive signing in their history hoping that he could be the next big thing.
Unfortunately, the move hasn’t really worked out. While the Uruguayan international has showcased glimpses of the talent he possesses and has helped them win a few important fixtures, he hasn’t been consistent enough.
He only has six goals and five assists in his 32 outings this season and people at the club are not really satisfied with his output. While his contract at the Merseyside club runs until the summer of 2028, they are ready to part ways with him for the right fee.
Liverpool are ready to listen to offers for his signature and there is no shortage of interest in him. Quite a few clubs from the Middle East are keen on signing him. Saudi Arabian clubs are willing to make a significant financial effort for him.
AC Milan preparing an offer for Nunez
Apart from Saudi Pro League outfits, AC Milan are also interested in him. The Italian giants are looking to add more quality to their squad. With Rafael Leao’s future uncertain and the Portuguese forward expected to be on the move, Nunez could prove to be an ideal replacement.
Milan who are looking to restructure their attack are ready to make an offer worth €60 million for the 25-year-old. Liverpool could seriously consider their offer as it will allow them to reinvest that amount to bolster their attack amidst uncertainty around the future of Mohamed Salah.
