The Bundesliga club will cough up €50 million to seal the deal, although they will unlikely keep him at the Red Bull Arena beyond the summer. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing the Dutch playmaker, who might be available for around €80 million.
Xavi Simons and his intriguing career
Xavi Simons has established himself as one of the best young playmakers in the world in the last few seasons. The Dutchman rose in prominence when he joined Barcelona’s fabled La Masia academy in 2010. However, a lack of first-team opportunities forced him to move to Paris Saint-Germain, where regular game time with the senior squad eluded him.
