Real Betis are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United full-back Tyrell Malacia on loan.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Real Betis are keen on signing Tyrell Malacia on loan. The Spanish outfit recently signed Antony from Manchester United and they are now looking to once again raid the Premier League giants for the services of the Dutch full-back.
Malacia joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth £14.6 million after making a name for himself at Feyenoord. He had an impressive debut campaign but his progress came to a halt because of a serious meniscus injury.
He underwent surgery and was sidelined for around 18 months. He returned to action back in November and has featured in a total of seven first-team games so far. While he has regained full fitness, he doesn’t seem to be an important part of Ruben Amorim’s plans.
The Portuguese manager is looking to bring in a new left-sided wing-back and the club are closing in on the signature of Patrick Dorgu. His arrival could push Malacia further down the pecking order and the Red Devils are reportedly ready to negotiate his departure.
Betis could sign another Manchester United player
With United ready to sanction his departure, Real Betis have emerged as a potential destination for the 25-year-old. The Spanish club have been quite active in the ongoing transfer window as they look to reinforce their squad.
They have already signed Antony for the Manchester-based club and are now looking to knock on their doors for the signature of Malacia. Betis want more quality on the left side of their defence and they feel the Dutch international could help their cause.
Since he is not an important part of Amorim’s plans, a move away from United could help him get regular first-team minutes and return to his best. While the Red Devils are open to a temporary exit, it will be interesting to see if they are ready to sanction a straightforward loan or if they are looking for a buy option/obligation.
