Tottenham, Aston Villa, Fulham and Newcastle United are all interested in signing Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane.
Tottenham are looking to reinforce their attack on a priority basis this month and according to a report from TBR, the North London club are looking to make a move for the services of Hamza Igamane. But, they could have significant competition from the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Fulham.
Igamane came up the ranks at FAR Rabat and after making a name for himself while playing for them in the Moroccan top flight, Scottish giants Rangers signed him ahead of the ongoing campaign for just £1.7 million.
He has had an impressive start to life at the Scottish club. In his 27 outings, he has 13 goals and three assists. His work hasn’t gone unnoticed as multiple English clubs are now looking to prise him away.
English clubs to battle for Igamane
Tottenham are the ones who are pushing hard for his signature. The North London club were already on the lookout for a new forward and with Dominic Solanke now out injured for six weeks, signing a new striker in the ongoing window has become a top priority for them.
Spurs have been keeping a close eye on Rangers’ striker Hamza Igamane in recent weeks. Their representatives were in the stands to watch him in action against Hibernian where he bagged a hat trick and has had an eye on him during the game against Aberdeen where he bagged another goal.
They consider him an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou’s team and are looking to raid Rangers for his signature. While the Scottish club would ideally want him around for longer, they will struggle to keep hold of him as Aston Villa, Newcastle and Fulham are all interested in his signature.
The Magpies want someone who can cover for Alexander Isak and provide him with adequate support. Igamane can surely help their cause. Meanwhile, Aston Villa seek more firepower with Jhon Duran linked with a move away from the club. With Raúl Jiménez’s contract running out, Fulham are also looking for a new number.
