Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are in concrete talks to sign Southampton attacking sensation Tyler Dibling.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Tyler Dibling is on the wishlist of multiple top clubs from across Europe. Tottenham are one of the clubs that are interested in the young winger and they are in talks with his representatives as they look to bring him to North London.
Dibling has come up the ranks at Southampton. While he got promoted to their first team ahead of the ongoing season, the 18-year-old had already made a few appearances for them last season.
The Saints have struggled since the start of the new season. They are at rock bottom of the points table and look all set for an immediate return to the Championship. While things are not going according to plan for the club, Dibling’s incredible rise is one of the few positives so far.
The teenager has already established himself as a key figure in their first team. He has racked up over 1,500 minutes in his 24 outings this season and also has six goal contributions to show for it. His performances along with his massive potential have attracted a lot of interest.
While his contract at Southampton runs until the summer of 2027, he is unlikely to be around for long. RB Leipzig are one of the clubs that have been working very hard to secure his services. After initial talks with the player’s camp, they feel he is open to a move to the Bundesliga.
Tottenham pushing for Dibling’s signature
The German club want him in their team at all costs and are open to a move now as well as at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Tottenham are also keen on his signature. The North London club have focused on signing young players with massive potential and Dibling certainly fits the bill.
His ability to feature on either flank as well as a number ten along with his experience in the Premier League make him the perfect fit for Postecoglou’s team. As per the report, Spurs have been in concrete talks with the player’s agent as they look to lure him to the club.
Meanwhile, the Saints are ready to do everything in their power to keep hold of their young winger. But, if they fail to survive the drop, Southampton might not have that big a say on his future.
