Napoli are willing to offer Manchester United a discount for Victor Osimhen if they manage to get their hands on Alejandro Garnacho.
Napoli are pushing hard to reinforce their attack and they have their eyes set on Alejandro Garnacho as they look to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. According to a report from SportMediaset, the Naples-based club are ready to offer United a discount in a potential Victor Osimhen deal to aid their pursuit of the Argentine international.
Antonio Conte’s Napoli sit at the top of the Serie A table. While everything is going according to plan on the pitch, they have suffered a significant blow as their star forward Kvaratskhelia has made the move to Paris Saint-Germain in the ongoing transfer window.
The Italian giants are now looking to bring in an ideal replacement who can fill the void left by the Georgian international and is an ideal fit in Conte’s system. They have identified Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as their top target and have been working on a potential transfer for some time now.
Napoli working hard to sign Garnacho
Garnacho has had an impressive rise at United and he has been a key part of their first team of late. But, the Argentine winger’s game time has been affected since the arrival of Ruben Amorim. He has been linked with a move away from the club and the Red Devils are also reportedly ready to sanction his departure as it will result in a significant financial boost.
Napoli have already held talks with the 20-year-old winger who has already given the green light to the move. Garnacho has made it clear that if he leaves England, he will only join the Italian giants. With Chelsea and Tottenham also interested in his signature, things are surely getting interesting.
While the Argentine forward’s desire to play for Napoli can surely play a part, there is a massive difference in the valuation of the two clubs. There is a difference of around €20 million between the Italian club’s offer and United’s demands.
Napoli involve Osimhen in Garnacho deal
As a result, the Naples-based club are looking to make Osimhen a part of the deal. They have informed the Red Devils that they are ready to give the added discount if they decide to push for their Nigerian star who is currently on loan at Galatasaray after falling out with the club.
The 26-year-old is expected to be on the move in the near future and Napoli want €75 million for him. But, they are ready to let him move to Old Trafford for a much lower figure. With United in need of a striker and Marcus Rashford’s future uncertain, this could surely tempt them.
