Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid attacking sensation Brahim Diaz.
According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Arsenal could acquire the services of Brahim Diaz in the ongoing transfer window. The Gunners have been interested in his services for a while now and with Real Madrid considering parting ways with him, the North London club have a realistic chance of incorporating him into their team.
After making a name for himself coming up the ranks at Manchester City, Diaz made the move to Real Madrid at the start of 2019 in a deal worth £15.5 million. Initially, he found it difficult to break into the first team and ended up having a three-year-long spell at AC Milan.
Brahim Diaz returned to the Spanish club ahead of the 2023/24 season. While he is not a regular starter, the 25-year-old has been putting in impressive performances every time he gets an opportunity. He played a massive part in all the success they had last season.
Will Diaz leave Real Madrid mid-season?
Despite all that he has done, there are still a lot of talks about his departure. Brahim Diaz has racked up just over 1,000 minutes of first-team action so far and since he does not have a prominent role under Carlo Ancelotti, top European clubs are looking to prise him away.
Diaz, Arda Guler and Endrick are three quality forwards who have only had limited game time at the Spanish club. They have all been linked with a move away, and Diaz is the one who finds himself on the wishlist of Arsenal.
Real Madrid will only allow one of the three to leave this month, and it could be the Moroccan international who has been on the radar of Mikel Arteta’s team for some time. The Gunners seek more firepower in the final third, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out injured.
Brahim Diaz is just the perfect fit for them as he can feature anywhere in the final third. With Los Blancos considering letting the 25-year-old leave, the Gunners surely have a massive boost. Arteta has previous experience of working with him during his time at Manchester City, and he is the one pushing to bring him to North London.
