Aston Villa are reportedly willing to put their foot on the accelerator in their pursuit of Liverpool defensive target Loic Bade.
According to a report from Estadio Deportivo, Aston Villa are all set to step up their interest in the services of Loic Bade. With Sevilla looking to balance their books, they want to execute a big sale and are reportedly ready to part ways with their most valuable asset.
Bade made the move to the Spanish club at the start of 2023 from Stade Rennais. While he initially joined them on a short loan spell, the move was made permanent for €12 million in the summer on the back of his impressive performances.
The 24-year-old French centre-back has only gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months. He even had an impressive Olympic campaign as France secured the Silver medal. His performances have attracted a lot of interest of late.
Liverpool are one of the clubs that have been keeping a close eye on him. The Reds are looking to bring in someone who can help replace Virgil van Dijk in the long run and Bade can surely help their cause.
While they are interested in his signature, the Reds might have to look elsewhere as Aston Villa are pushing hard to sign the French defensive sensation. Monchi who is currently the Aston Villa sporting director played a key part in bringing Bade to Spain and he now wants to reunite with him in Birmingham.
Villa to push harder for Bade
He recently travelled to Seville along with a few other leaders of the English club to watch the young centre-back in action and they even held a meeting with Victor Orta last Tuesday as they look to acquire Bade’s services.
Villa are ready to step up their interest and they could soon table an offer for his services as they are aware of the fact that the Spanish outfit are in need to raise funds. Sevilla are looking to make room for new signings and they are also in need of sanctioning a big departure to balance their books.
While Bade is one of their most important players, they are ready to negotiate his departure. The report suggests Sevilla would look for a minimum of €25-30 million to part ways with him. The Premier League outfit are pushing hard for his signature but they are awaiting the departure of Diego Carlos to be finalised before going after the French centre-back.
