Alejandro Garnacho has given his word to Napoli amid exit links

Manchester United attacking sensation Alejandro Garnacho has made more than one promise to Napoli ahead of a potential move.

Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford has taken an interesting turn. The Argentine forward could soon part ways with Manchester United and according to a report from Il Mattino via AreaNapoli, the United graduate has given his word to Italian giants Napoli.

Garnacho joined the Red Devils towards the end of 2020 after parting ways with Atletico Madrid. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022.

The young winger managed to establish himself as a key first-team player in no time. While he was growing in prominence under Erik ten Hag, things haven’t been that great for the 20-year-old under Ruben Amorim.

The Argentine international has 13 goal contributions in the ongoing season but of late he has been more of a backup option having started in one out of United’s last six league games. Garnacho’s contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2028 but reports suggest he could be on the move in the ongoing season.

Napoli want to sign Garnacho

The player is keen on parting ways and he has been linked with quite a few top clubs. Napoli are one of the clubs that are looking to make the most out of it. With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia all set to make the move to PSG, the Naples-based club need to bring in a replacement.

They want to invest in a young player and the United graduate fits the bill. His ability to feature anywhere in attack makes him an ideal fit for Antonio Conte’s team and he is pushing to bring the 20-year-old to Italy.

Napoli and United have been involved in negotiations regarding Garnacho of late. The Azzuri are willing to offer €35 million but the Manchester-based giants want at least €55 million to part ways with their academy graduate.

While there is a significant difference in the valuation of both clubs, people at United are convinced that the young winger has made more than one promise to Napoli’s directors. Both Giovanni Manna and Conte seem to have already held talks with the young star.

They are looking to wait for the perfect moment before submitting an improved offer as they are well aware of the fact that the former Atletico Madrid youth product wants to play for the club where the great Diego Armando Maradona played.
