Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand, with West Ham also keen on the forward.
According to Give Me Sport, OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand has been offered to Tottenham for this month’s window. The North London outfit has been looking for a new attacker and may look at the highly-rated attacker as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani, with West Ham United also keen on a move.
Tottenham are looking for attacking solutions in the current transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou intent on strengthening his forward line. Going by the links to some of the names, it appears Spurs are looking at a solid enough name rather than a project player.
In short, they wanted Randal Kolo Muani, but the PSG forward has reportedly chosen Juventus as his new destination. Hence, the Frenchman is out of the question, although they have been offered the chance to sign Jonathan David, who has less than six months left on his deal with Lille.
The likelihood of the Canadian joining Spurs is difficult at this moment, as he might finish the season in France before picking from a host of choices. Another Ligue 1 forward has been offered to Tottenham, as OGC Nice’s Evann Guessand has emerged as the latest name on their list of attacking targets.
The Nice forward has been in sensational form this season, with a hand in 14 goals and assists in all competitions. He is referred to as a surprise package, but there is enough evidence of a promising future. Nice will demand a big fee, considering he was tied down to a new deal last summer until 2028.
West Ham keen on Evann Guessand
West Ham are another team looking closely at Guessand as per The West Ham Way, meaning the OGC Nice forward does have another option to fall back on if the Tottenham move does not materialise. The Hammers are also linked with Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, as Graham Potter wants a new forward in the squad.
The Hammers have problems in the frontline following another injury to summer arrival Niclas Fullkrug as well as the absence of Michail Antonio following a nasty road accident. Potter cannot possibly rely alone on Danny Ings, as it could come to cost the club another season with a lack of goals. Hence, someone like Guessand could be seen as a viable target for this month.
