Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Argentine international Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
According to a report by Italian outlet Sportitalia, Alejandro Garnacho is the subject of interest from Napoli. Antonio Conte is driving the Serie A club’s move for the Manchester United whizkid as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia closes in on joining Paris Saint-Germain in the winter transfer window. The Argentine international will likely cost around €50 million.
Alejandro Garnacho has come leaps and bounds since breaking into the first-team squad at Manchester United. A native of Madrid, the youngster spent most of his formative years in Spain before joining Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in October 2020. He did not take long to graduate from the Premier League club’s youth division and has been a regular in recent terms.
The 20-year-old has turned out over 100 times thus far for Manchester United, chipping in with 23 goals and 14 assists. However, Garnacho’s long-term future at the Premier League club is uncertain heading into the two transfer windows this year.
Garnacho has barely started any games since Ruben Amorim omitted him from the matchday squad for the Manchester Derby last month. That has created speculation surrounding the Argentine international, with Atletico Madrid among his prospective suitors. However, Napoli will aim to beat the competition to his signature.
Napoli’s interest in Alejandro Garnacho is understandable. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a new wide attacker as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia closes in on joining Paris Saint-Germain in a big-money deal this month.
