Liverpool preparing cash-plus-player offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Liverpool could explore a late cash-plus-player offer to test Napoli’s resolve on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who seems closer to joining PSG.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool have not given up in the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia race, with the club now willing to explore a move with a player-plus-cash offer. There are some stars in the Reds setup that could be dispensable, although the Georgian might be inching closer to joining PSG on a long-term deal.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been the biggest story of this transfer window so far, as the Georgian winger has decided to leave Napoli. Antonio Conte recently confirmed the winger had expressed his desire to quit, as PSG are reportedly leading the race for the Georgian international.

Liverpool were among the clubs who have also expressed an interest in signing the 23-year-old attacker, although their move might have come a bit too late. In any case, the Merseysiders are not about to give up on the chase, as they are now formulating a player-plus-cash deal to test Napoli’s resolve.

The players mentioned in the mix are Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez, with both of these stars not getting enough starts or minutes under Arne Slot. A move for the former back to Italy would make sense from a lot of angles. However, the latter may not be someone that Npoli would want at the moment, given they already have Romelu Lukaku leading the line.

In any case, there’s an evolving idea that the report states, as Liverpool could potentially make an offer that could be potentially worth £97.5 million. The complexities of such a proposal might still take some time to break down. However, it’s clear that Liverpool are still interested in Kvaratskhelia and could make a final dash to allow the player to make a firm decision.

PSG are leading the race for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

PSG are ahead of their competitors in the race for Kvaratskhelia as things stand, and are heading in the right direction with the signing. Liverpool might represent a solid enough contender, although they might not be able to compete with the Parisians on salary and other financial details.

Fabrizio Romano also confirmed PSG already have an agreement on personal terms with the 23-year-old attacker over a five year deal. Hence, as things stand, Kvaratskhelia seems destined to join the Parisians as their new left-winger, as Liverpool and other suitors are thoroughly expected to back out of the race.
