West Ham United plotting Marcus Rashford move

West Ham United could explore a loan deal for Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford, with the winger available in the market.

According to TBR, Marcus Rashford has emerged as a target for West Ham United for this month’s window. Graham Potter begins his reign at the London Stadium, as the club is reportedly eyeing up the 27-year-old outcast as an addition for their new manager.

West Ham United are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with a larger emphasis placed on signing a new striker. The unfortunate road accident suffered by Michail Antonio, who will miss the remainder of the season or more, has forced the club to look for a replacement.

Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen also suffered an injury recently, as even with the England international, they had problems in the attacking third. Hence, there could be an additional need for a winger, with the Hammers now linked with an ambitious swoop for 27-year-old Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has been on the radars of many clubs after expressing his desire to quit Manchester United nearly a month ago. New manager Ruben Amorim has since left the 27-year-old out of his squads, as the winger seems destined to leave the club one way or another this month.

Manchester United are expected to sanction a loan deal for the time being and probably find a permanent solution next summer. Rashford has already rejected Como as a destination, although they are not alone, with Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan remaining linked

West Ham interested in Marcus Rashford loan

AC Milan appear closer than anyone at the moment for Rashford, with suggestions that they are open to paying part of his salary. The report states that Manchester United will have to cover three-quarters of Rashford’s current wages to let him leave, which will be seen as a boost for many suitors, including West Ham.

The Hammers could make a compelling pitch to Rashford to make the switch to the London Stadium and take a leaf out of former teammate Jesse Lingard’s book. Whether West Ham have a chance in this race remains to be seen, as Rashford is seemingly taking his time before making a decision.
