Tottenham hope to seal Randal Kolo Muani deal this week

London giants Tottenham Hotspur hope to seal the deal to sign the 26-year-old French attacker Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain this week.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Randal Kolo Muani is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is also a target for Manchester United. However, the Lilywhites hope to beat the Red Devils and other suitors by securing the services of the French international this week.

The rise and rapid fall of Randal Kolo Muani

Randal Kolo Muani has seen his career come to a stuttering halt since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Eintracht Frankfurt in a big-money deal in September 2023. Les Parisiens beat stiff competition to land the Frenchman, whose stock had skyrocketed after an exceptional debut season with Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, the 26-year-old has barely made his mark at PSG, struggling in his debut season before becoming a peripheral figure in Luis Enrique’s team this term. Kolo Muani has not even managed 500 minutes of game time in his 14 outings thus far, chipping in with two goals and one assist.

However, the French international’s stock in the market remains high, with several well-known clubs across Europe setting their sights on him. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are the prospective suitors to land the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist in the winter transfer window.

Premier League adventure beckoning?

Manchester United’s interest in Randal Kolo Muani is understandable. The Red Devils are eager to reinforce their offensive unit in the winter transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of the beleaguered Marcus Rashford. So, the PSG outcast has emerged as a viable target for Manchester United.

However, the Red Devils will likely lose the race to secure the services of the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist, with Tottenham ramping up the efforts to land him. The Lilywhites have been keen on signing a versatile attacker this month amid Richarlison’s struggles under Ange Postecoglou. So, the Frenchman is an option worth considering for Tottenham.

The report has claimed that the North London giants hope to secure Kolo Muani’s services this month. Tottenham will aim to sort out the deal’s structure with PSG as they look to land the 26-year-old French international on an initial loan deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.
