Aston Villa are considering making an approach for Borussia Dortmund attacking sensation Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
According to a report from CaughtOffside, Aston Villa are interested in acquiring the services of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. The Premier League outfit have been scouting him for some time now and are pondering whether to make an approach to sign him.
After making a name for himself during his time at Reading, Bynoe-Gittens made the move to Manchester City in 2018. Things didn’t really work out for him in their youth setup and he ended up joining Dortmund in the summer of 2020.
They provided him with an easier road to the first team and he eventually did get promoted to their senior side in the summer of 2022. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and has made quite a name for himself.
In his 23 outings this season, the English youth international has nine goals and five assists. At just 20, he is a key figure in the Dortmund team and Bynoe-Gittens will only get better with time. Multiple top clubs are keeping a close eye on him and the German club are aware of the fact that they won’t be able to keep hold of him for long.
Villa to push for Bynoe-Gittens’ signature?
Aston Villa are one of the teams that continue to track the young winger. While they do not have the best financial situation and will have to sell before they can make any purchases to satisfy profit and sustainability rules, Villa are pondering over making a move for the young winger.
Unai Emery deploys John McGinn or Morgan Rogers on the left flank of his 4-2-3-1 system. While the duo have done a decent job, the Spanish manager is on the lookout for a more pacey and creative option and Bynoe-Gittens can surely help their cause.
While Emery is eager to add to his squad in the ongoing window, they will have to sanction a few departures to make room and raise funds for any signing. Jhon Duran has been linked with a move away from the club. PSG are leading the race for his signature but a transfer might not happen until the summer.
Bynoe-Gittens could be just the perfect signing to bolster the Villa squad but they do have a few obstacles in their pursuit of his signature. Meanwhile, there are other English clubs that could rival them.
