Saudi Pro League clubs are keen to explore a deal for Casemiro in January, although any sale would depend on his asking price.
According to Daily Telegraph, Saudi Pro League sides are interested in signing Casemiro, as some of the league’s clubs are interested in reinforcing their midfield, namely Al-Nassr. The Brazilian midfielder has been out of sorts lately, and new manager Ruben Amorim does not seem to count on his experience, which could pave the way for them to offload the player.
Casemiro has experienced a rapid downfall in his game since last season, as Manchester United are keen to offload him this month. The Red Devils were open to selling him back in the summer when several clubs, including a host of sides from the Saudi Pro League, were interested. But there might have been a few problems in their quest to take him off their books.
Casemiro earns a hefty £350,000-a-week wages at the club and still has more than 18 months to run on his existing deal. Selling him would free up funds this month as Manchester United are eager to make sales before making any signings to strengthen their squad.
Ruben Amorim would ideally prefer a midfield partnership of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo, which does leave the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen dispensable. The Brazilian, who cost the club £60 million back in 2022, has been rapidly declining in his game, and it would be best for all parties to part ways.
There is big interest anticipated from the Saudi Pro League in this month’s window, as some of the clubs from that division are eager to strengthen their midfield. Casemiro is prepared to leave Manchester United, and a move to the Middle East might be something he could green light should a sizeable offer arrive on his table.
Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad to rival for Casemiro
Al-Ittihad wanted Casemiro last summer, while there were rumours at that time about Cristiano Ronaldo urging his side, Al-Nassr to make a move for his former Real Madrid colleague. The two PIF-owed sides could battle it out for the midfielder, although any move will depend on the asking price for the £60 million Manchester United star.
Al-Nassr have a realistic need to reinforce their midfield, having sold Seko Fofana to Rennes. At the same time, there are chances of Brazilian Anderson Talisca joining Fenerbahce this month. Casemiro would be ideal for their liking, and they are capable of making a good enough contract offer to prise the Manchester United star away.
