Juventus have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic in a swap deal that will see Joshua Zirkzee head the other way.
Joshua Zirkzee’s future has become a massive talking point in recent weeks. While he only made the move to Manchester United six months back, the Dutch international could end up parting ways with the club in the ongoing transfer window.
There is a significant amount of interest in his services from Italy and Juventus are believed to be the ones who are pushing hard for his signature. According to a report from TBR, the Old Lady have offered United the services of Dusan Vlahovic in a swap deal as they look to reunite Zirkzee with Thiago Motta who was his boss at Bologna.
Zirkzee’s failed United move, Juventus’ interest
While things didn’t go according to plan for Zirkzee at Bayer Munich, he made quite a name for himself with his consistent performances in the Serie A before moving to Old Trafford in the summer. Unfortunately, the move hasn’t worked out and things went from bad to worse when he was booed by the supporters after being subbed off in the 33rd minute in their 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
That incident has left quite a mark on the player who has reportedly asked his representatives to look for a quick return to Italy. Juventus are the ones who are quite keen on signing the 23-year-old. They were interested in him before he moved to United and have reignited their interest as they see an opportunity to add him to Motta’s squad.
A swap deal involving Zirkzee and Vlahovic
Zirkzee had a lot of success uniting Motta at Bologna and the manager is confident that he could do wonders for them at Juventus. The Old Lady are pushing hard and they have handed Manchester United the opportunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic in a swap deal in the ongoing window.
While the Serbian striker has been doing wonders for them this season, his contract runs out in 18 months time and he has no intentions of extending his stay. As a result, the Old Lady are looking to cash in on him. A swap deal will help them secure an ideal replacement without much trouble and they will be able to sign one of their top targets in Zirkzee.
Juventus have already held talks with United regarding a move for the Dutch international. The Red Devils are looking to get him off their books on loan and would ideally want to have a buy obligation inserted.
The Italian club’s sporting director Cristiano Guintoli believes they can lure the 23-year-old back to the Serie A in the ongoing window. With Juventus handing them the option to sign their £62 million striker in return, the Manchester-based club will surely be tempted.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are one of the clubs that have been keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old. The Gunners want a proven goal scorer to lead their line and Vlahovic can surely help their cause. But, United could spoil the party for them with this swap deal.
