Victor Osimhen is reportedly keen on a switch to Manchester United this month following reports of talks between the club and the player.
According to Fichajes, Manchester United could have got themselves in an advanced position to sign Victor Osimhen following talks with the Nigerian striker. It appears the on-loan Galatasaray star is open to the challenge at Old Trafford, although conversations with Napoli are yet to commence.
Victor Osimhen continues to wait patiently in the transfer market and is biding his time while on loan at Galatasaray. He joined the Turkish giants following a failure to make a switch out of Napoli on a permanent basis last summer. Still, his desire to quit the Serie A side played into Galatasaray’s hands.
Since his move, Napoli have halved his previous release clause, and his Galatasaray contract also consists of a break clause, as per reports around his transfer to the Turkish outfit, meaning Osimhen could move to another side if suitable offers arrive at Napoli’s doors.
Osimhen has already been offered to several sides at the top of the Premier League charts, although no club are yet to make a concrete move until now. It appears Manchester United are eager to sign the Nigerian, who has contributed to 18 goals this season for Galatasaray in all competitions, as he is seen as a top addition by Ruben Amorim.
Amorim might have wanted Viktor Gyokeres earlier, as reports suggested that Manchester United could make an attempt to sign the Swede. There are many complications in that chase owing to a €100 million release clause in the Sporting CP star’s contract, while some other stories have insisted Gyokeres might not leave his current club.
