Ruben Amorim has reportedly approved winter loan moves for Dan Gore and Harry Amass amid their struggles for game time with the first team.
According to a report by Daily Mirror, Dan Gore and Harry Amass might not be with Manchester United when the winter transfer window closes next month. The two academy graduates will not get regular game time with the first team, and Ruben Amorim has given his blessing to allow the duo to embark on loan moves in the coming weeks.
Who are Dan Gore and Harry Amass?
Dan Gore has been among the outstanding names in the youth division at Manchester United in recent seasons. A native of Manchester, the Englishman has been with Manchester United since July 2018, arriving from Burnley and joining the Red Devils’ academy.
The 20-year-old progressed through the ranks at Manchester United before breaking into the first-team squad in the early days of the 2023/24 season. However, regular game time in the senior group has eluded Gore, and he has managed only two appearances thus far for Manchester United.
As for Harry Amass, the teenage prospect is a native of London and spent most of his formative years in his home city. Manchester United signed the 17-year-old prospect in August 2023. Since then, the youngster has excelled in the youth setup at Manchester United, although he has yet to make his first-team bow for the Red Devils.
What next?
So, it is hardly surprising that Manchester United might sanction loan exits for Dan Gore and Harry Amass in the winter transfer window. While recent reports have suggested that the Red Devils might block the latter’s departure, the latest update has refuted that notion.
Recent reports have also claimed that Amass is a target for Aston Villa, with the West Midlands club ready to cough up a considerable sum to seal a permanent move. However, it is unclear if Manchester United will be open to sanctioning anything other than a loan exit for Amass.
Amass and Gore can benefit from a loan deal in the second half of the 2024/25 season. However, Manchester United should carefully identify the duo’s new destinations, considering they might not get sufficient game time at the wrong club.
