Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from the club, and MLS clubs might launch a move soon.
Top European clubs, including Real Madrid, are keen on securing his signature, but it seems that MLS clubs could be prepared to provide Marcus Rashford with an exit route as well. According to a report by Give Me Sport, MLS clubs could present offers to the Manchester United outcast, and it will be interesting to see if he is willing to accept their proposal.
A move to MLS would be quite surprising for Rashford at this stage of his career. Players usually move to Saudi Arabia or MLS in the twilight stages of their careers. The 27-year-old is very much at the peak of his powers, and he will look to continue playing at the highest level and push for the trophies.
There is plenty of time for him to re-capture his peak form and get back to his best. Given his recent performances, the Manchester United academy graduate could be available for a reasonable amount of money. Whoever ends up signing him could have a potential bargain on their hands.
Rashford has not been at his best
Rashford has been an exceptional performer for Manchester United over the years, and there is no doubt that he is a top-class player and that he could be an exceptional acquisition for any club if he can regain his peak form. His departure could be a major blow for the Red Devils, who will need to sign a reliable goalscorer. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have not been prolific enough.
Apart from Rashford, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has been linked with a move to MLS in recent months as well. It seems that MLS clubs are eyeing up a move for multiple Premier League stars.
Meanwhile, Rashford has struggled for regular game time Manchester United this season, but his departure will certainly weaken their attacking unit. The Red Devils need to bring in quality alternatives, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
