Real Betis keen on Antony

Real Betis are plotting a raid on Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United for their big-money flop Antony.

According to a report from Diario ABC, Real Betis are looking to reinforce their attack and they are interested in the services of Antony. The Spanish club are looking to raid Manchester United for the Brazilian winger. They want to sign him on loan to bolster Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

Antony made a name for himself while playing for Ajax and on the back of his consistent performances and huge potential, he secured a massive move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022. Unfortunately, the transfer hasn’t really worked out as he has struggled to establish himself as an important first-team player.

While the 24-year-old was involved in 38 matches last season, Antony slowly lost prominence under Erik ten Hag because of his poor form. Ruben Amorim has handed him a few opportunities and he has surely been much more involved of late but he has yet to start a game under the Portuguese manager.

Having racked up less than 400 minutes of first-team action in the first half of the season, the Brazilian is interested in a move away from the club to get things back on track. Despite his poor form, there is a significant amount of interest in the Brazilian winger.

Real Betis pushing to sign Anotny on loan

Real Betis are one of the clubs that are interested in his services. The Spanish outfit are in desperate need of adding more goals to their squad and they feel Antony could help their cause. He could be an ideal fit in Pellegrini’s system as he prefers having wingers who have pace and can take on defenders.

While Betis won’t find it easy to strike a deal for his services, the first moves have already been made by the Spanish club’s sports management and the Brazilian’s agent. People close to Antony are in favour of a move to the team in green and white as it can help him relaunch himself.

They are looking for a loan move and United could let the 24-year-old leave as he is not really an important figure under Amorim. A spell away from the Premier League could do wonders for the player. But, a potential deal isn’t that straightforward as Betis can’t afford to pay his massive wages.

They have proposed a loan offer where United will have to pay a part of his salary and the player will have to give up a certain amount to get it over the line. More importantly, Betis will have to raise funds by selling players before they can bring Antony to their team.
