Arsenal eyeing loan move for Randal Kolo Muani

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Randal Kolo Muani ahead of January following the Bukayo Saka injury blow.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are keen to address the Bukayo Saka injury situation with a loan move for Randal Kolo Muani in January. The Gunners are not eager to spend big in the winter window, as a temporary move for the PSG outcast could work out for all parties concerned.

The week following Arsneal’s 5-1 reverse victory over Crystal Palace has been dominated by two separate updates on Buyako Saka. Following the winger’s hamstring injury suffered at Selhurst Park, it was first reported that he would miss 6-8 weeks of action, which roughly equates to two months.

However, following Arsenal’s narrow in over Ipswich Town, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka has undergone surgery to resolve the issue, which will keep him out for way more than two months. There is mixed news about the actual duration of his absence, with some suggestions pointing even towards four months of no action.

If Arsenal were thinking about reinforcing their attacking setup in January, now might be the time to intensify those efforts to bring in a replacement for Saka. There are some links to Mohammed Kudus, but West Ham’s £100 million asking price could see the Gunners back away, as the report states they are eager to make a big striker signing in the summer.

A loan move could be on the cards if Arsenal can play their cards right in the January window. Apart from Saka, they have also lost Raheem Sterling for a lengthy period owing to a knee injury, which does leave the Gunners short of attacking depth.

Arsenal to pursue Randal Kolo Muani loan?

Arsenal have held an interest in Randal Kolo Muani for some time, even before Saka’s injury came about. However, their idea of bringing the Ligue 1 star could intensify following the most recent injury issues, and they might have a clear chance at signing the attacker.

PSG are also trying to offload him in an exchange deal for their preferred targets, Arsenal could prove an attractive option for the Frenchman to consider. The idea here is to bring a quality forward on loan and then use the money to splash on a big striker next summer.
