Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.
Milan Skriniar has been linked with a move away from Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, and several clubs would be willing to provide him with an exit route. The Slovak might be available for a reasonable amount of money in January, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool and Manchester United follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign him.
According to a report by Italian outlet Juve Live, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are keeping tabs on Skriniar’s situation at PSG as well.
Liverpool need a quality central defender, and the Slovakian international defender would be a quality addition. Milan Skriniar is at the peak of his powers, and he has proven himself in Italy, Italy and France.
There is no doubt that the PSG defender has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League as well. He could form a solid partnership with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence. Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez can be prone to picking up injuries, and Liverpool need more depth at the back.
Manchester United and Tottenham keen
Manchester United need defensive additions as well and have their sights set on several centre-backs. Victor Lindelof has been linked with a move away from the club, and he will need to be replaced adequately. Milan Skriniar could make an instant impact at Manchester United if he joins the club. The 29-year-old is at the peak of his powers, and he has the quality to succeed in English football as well.
Manchester United have endured a disappointing season so far, and they will look to bounce back strongly. They need quality players to challenge for major trophies once again. A quality defender will help them tighten up at the back. Players like Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro have not been able to live up to the expectations since the big-money move to Manchester United and they need quality alternatives now.
As far as Tottenham are concerned, they have struggled in the absence of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. Radu Dragusin is the only fit central defender at the club right now. Someone like Skriniar could be a valuable addition to them. Meanwhile, Juventus will look to land a cover for Gleison Bremer, making the former Inter Milan defender a viable target.
