Saudi trio keen on Marcus Rashford swoop

Three Saudi Pro League clubs are keen on acquiring the services of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford’s future could be far away from Old Trafford as he recently suggested in an interview that he is ready to embark on a fresh challenge. Things have gone from bad to worse for the English international at Manchester United over the past few years and he is very keen on parting ways with his childhood club.

According to a report from TalkSPORT, Saudi Pro League clubs are interested in signing Rashford. Three clubs from the Middle East want to add him to their squad in 2025. Al Ahli, Al Ittihad and Al Qadsiah are the ones who hold an interest in the left-winger.

Rashford came up the ranks at United at some pace. He got promoted to their first team in 2016 and went from strength to strength with each passing year. While he was amongst the best forwards in the world during the 2022/23 season, the 27-year-old has failed to reach those levels again.

He is no longer a regular starter and has been forced to fight for a starting place in the team. While his contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2028, the English international is frustrated by the lack of minutes and could push for a move away from the club.

Having been left out of the squad in their last two outings, there are high chances of him leaving in 2025. Ruben Amorim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are both ready to sanction his departure as it will result in a massive financial boost which will help them bolster other areas on the pitch.

Will Rashford move to the Middle East?

Apart from the top European clubs, there are three Saudi Arabian clubs that want to sign the 27-year-old. Al Ahli, Al Ittihad and Al Qadsiah are all keen on his signature. Al Ittihad have a long-standing interest in him while Al Qadsiad have been closely monitoring his situation.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli hold a concrete interest but they will have to offload someone or de-register a foreign player before signing Rashford to comply with Saudi Pro League registration rules. The club are considering parting ways with Roberto Firmino and the United forward could be a great replacement.

It will be interesting to see if the English international ready to make the move to the Middle East as recent reports have suggested that is he is not ready to leave Europe.
