Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are plotting a move for Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai. The midfielder is valued at €100 million and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool are prepared to sanction his departure.
The 24-year-old midfielder has done reasonably well for Liverpool since joining the club but he was expected to do a lot better. His performances have been quite inconsistent since joining the club and if any club is willing to pay a substantial amount of money for him it would not be a surprise if Liverpool are tempted to sell him.
They could easily replace him if they can raise €100 million. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Real Madrid are looking to add more quality and depth to their midfield and the 24-year-old could be a quality addition for them if he can hit top form. There is no doubt that he has the physical and technical attributes to play for the biggest clubs in the world. He will add creativity, drive and goals to the Real Madrid midfield.
Can Real Madrid afford Szoboszlai?
Real Madrid will have to strengthen the other areas of their squad as well and it would be surprising if they decided to splurge €100 million on the Liverpool midfielder. They will probably hope to sign him for a more reasonable price it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
The midfielder could be tempted to join Real Madrid as well. They are widely regarded as the biggest club in the world and the opportunity to play for them can be hard to turn down for any player.
Although he has enjoyed his time at Liverpool and the Reds are pushing for major trophies, joining Real Madrid is a completely different experience and the player would get to push for major trophies every season.
It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal in the coming months. The Reds are unlikely to sanction his departure midway through the season and Real Madrid will have to wait until the summer transfer window in order to get the deal done.
