Manchester United’s new boss Ruben Amorim is all set to help summer signing Joshua Zirkzee secure a move away from Old Trafford.
Joshua Zirkzee’s move to Manchester United hasn’t gone according to plan. While he did score on his debut, things have only gone downhill since. He is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and according to a report from CaughtOffside, Ruben Amorim who recently took charge of United is helping the Dutch international secure a smooth exit in the upcoming transfer window.
Amorim might have been at the club for less than a fortnight but he is already making some bold decisions on and off the field. The Portuguese manager has quite clear ideas of what kind of football he wants his team to play.
While he is ready to back his players, he won’t shy away from showing the exit door to players who are not performing at the expected levels and those who do not fit into his system. He already seems to have made a decision regarding the future of Zirkzee who joined the club in the summer on the back of an impressive season with Bologna.
Zirkzee to leave United in January
The Red Devils forked out a significant fee to sign him but it hasn’t worked out. Despite scoring on his debut, the Dutch international hasn’t found the back of the net again. While he has been involved in a total of 17 matches, the majority of those have been cameos off the bench.
He is frustrated by the lack of minutes and is considering parting ways with the club in the upcoming winter transfer window. Amorim doesn’t consider the 23-year-old to be an important part of his plans and he is ready to help the United flop to secure a move away in January.
The Portuguese manager wants to ensure Zirkzee finds a new club in the winter. While he has struggled to get going at the Manchester-based club, there is still significant interest in him from Italy where he had thrived with Bologna. Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan have all been linked with the young forward.
