Leeds United rival Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United in Daniel Svensson chase

Leeds United are in the mix for Swedish full-back Daniel Svensson, but Premier League clubs are fiercely competing for his signature.

According to TEAMtalk, Daniel Svensson has a new suitor in the form of Leeds United, with the Championship side keen to provide him with a platform in English football. The recently called-up Swedish international also has Premier League clubs chasing his signature, as he could take his time before deciding his next move.

Daniel Svensson is making a name for himself following his recent call-up to the Swedish national side and subsequent debut. The versatile star has shown his capability to play primarily as a left-back and slot properly in a midfield role, which does open the door for him to adapt to the inverted full-back role well in the future.

Since his international call-up, the 22-year-old Swedish prospect has had plenty of suitors. There is a big opportunity for him to leave FC Nordsjaelland in the upcoming window or next summer. His profile is impressive enough for clubs to take a closer look at him, although his price point is not yet clear.

Daniel Svensson has a contract until 2027, and his recent call-up to the Swedish national side will see Nordsjaelland demand significantly more to sell him. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all keen, with the latter in particular looking at a new left-back option to complement new manager Ruben Amorim’s system.

Liverpool are also in the hunt for a new option on that left side, and they will see how his future pans out eventually. As for Arsenal, they are not in desperate need of a left-back or an inverted option as the Gunners are well-stacked in that department, although one cannot rule out Mikel Arteta from signing another player in that role in the future.

Leeds United enter Svensson race

Leeds United are eager to formulate a move for Daniel Svensson and offer the 22-year-old Swedish prospect a platform to rise in English football. Joining the Yorkshire side should allow the left-back to progress appropriately, although he would likely choose them if they make it back to the Premier League next season.

Hence, a January move could be ruled out so far, although Leeds United will show their presence should the 22-year-old Swedish prospect be made available in the winter window. Overall, Svensson will have plenty of offers on the table when he decides to leave Nordsjaelland, with Leeds United certainly one to keep an eye on in this race.
