Real Madrid have already put forward their offer for Alphonso Davies, while Manchester United are intensifying their efforts to sign him.
Alphonso Davies’ future has become a massive talking point of late as his contract at Bayern Munich is running out. While he could still end up signing a new deal at the German club, European giants are pushing for his signature.
According to a report from AS via SportWitness, Manchester United are bidding hard to sign the Canadian international while Real Madrid have already transferred their offer to his agent. The Red Devils have a realistic chance of signing him as a free agent as Los Blancos won’t enter into a battle with other interested clubs.
Davies’ time at Bayern & a new deal on the table
Davies has only gone from strength to strength since joining Bayern at the start of 2019. He has established himself as a key figure in their first team and has helped them win numerous titles. But, with his contract running out at the end of the season, his future has become a massive talking point.
Bayern have already offered the full-back a new deal worth €12 million per year which will bring him on par with some of the highest-paid players at the club. They are hoping he will put pen on paper and extend his stay in Munich.
Manchester United push hard to sign Davies
Reports earlier suggested that he already had an agreement in place with Madrid. But, his agent Nedal Huoseh has made it clear that nothing has been agreed upon yet and his client is keeping all his options open. While Los Blancos are interested in him, they won’t enter a bidding war for him as they already have Ferland Mendy as their first choice.
While there are other clubs who are keen on his signature, Manchester United are the ones who are pushing hard to sign the Canadian international. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have had a lot of fitness issues of late and Davies could be an ideal upgrade on the left flank. His attacking abilities make him just the perfect fit for Amorim’s system which gives a lot of freedom to wing-backs.
Huoseh is working hard to get his client the best possible deal. While staying at Bayern or joining Madrid are two great options, he could even end up moving to England with United keen on his signature.
