Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are all keen on Hugo Larsson, with Eintracht Frankfurt determined to keep the midfielder.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Hugo Larsson has made his way onto the short list of many top Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old Swede, with Eintracht Frankfurt determined to keep him for the long haul.
Arsenal, Liverpool in Hugo Larsson chase
Eintracht Frankfurt has had a terrific start to the new Bundesliga season, as they are third heading into the weekend. Omar Marmoush might have taken all the limelight with his blistering start to the campaign, but Hugo Larsson has played an equally important role from midfield.
The 20-year-old Bundesliga prospect has garnered rave reviews for his performances for Frankfurt since his move there in 2023. Many clubs have shown interest since January, with Arsenal already planning on making a bid ahead of the next window.
Liverpool are also part of the chasing pack, as Arne Slot will continue to look for options to bolster his midfield, keeping the long-term future in mind. Larsson suits either of those two clubs and will see the appeal of making the switch should Frankfurt allow an easy passage.
Tottenham are also among those keeping tabs, as Ange Postecoglou will continue to recruit young players and build his project in north London. They have already secured Larsson’s compatriot Lucas Bergvall, and they also have a strong Swedish contingent with Dejan Kulusevski. This means the 20-year-old Bundesliga prospect will feel comfortable should he choose Spurs as his next destination.
Eintracht Frankfurt determined to keep Larsson
Eintracht Frankfurt has done their work in the background by ensuring Larsson’s long-term future belongs at the club. The 20-year-old recently signed a new deal that will theoretically keep him here until 2029, meaning the Bundesliga side has the power in negotiations.
In any case, they are not thinking about considering approaches in January, and even in the summer, Frankfurt are leaning towards keeping the Swede. Hence, it will be difficult for those English suitors to take Larsson away from the German side, and he will carry a massive price tag.
