Crystal Palace and Fulham are both interested in acquiring the services of Bayern Munich attacking sensation Mathys Tel.
Mathys Tel is all set to be made available for a loan transfer in January by Bayern Munich and according to a report from CaughtOffside, Crystal Palace and Fulham have emerged as two potential destinations for the young attacking sensation.
Tel came up the ranks at Stade Rennais and after just 12 months with their first team, Bayern ended up signing him in the summer of 2022. While the German giants consider him an important part of their long-term plans, the 19-year-old has only had limited game time so far.
Despite scoring 16 goals and bagging six assists for the senior side, the French youth international has only had limited minutes. He has been on the pitch for just over 200 minutes under Vincent Kompany this season. The lack of game time has become a major talking point and reports suggest, they look to offload him in the winter.
While Bayern have no intentions of selling him on a permanent basis as he is a key part of their future plans, they are all set to open the door for a temporary exit in January. Tel is all set to be made available for a loan deal and interested clubs have been put on red alert.
Tel could have a short stint in the Premier League
Crystal Palace and Fulham are both looking to reinforce their attack mid-season and they are considering making a move for the teenage sensation. The Eagles are struggling in the new campaign and find themselves involved in the relegation battle.
Oliver Glasner would love to add someone like Tel to ensure they have enough attacking threat. While they added Eddie Nketiah to their squad in the summer, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations and the Bayern forward could be an ideal signing in January.
Meanwhile, Fulham might have made a decent start to the new season but they do seek more firepower and Tel could be a great addition to their squad mid-season. He prefers playing out wide on the left but is well capable of leading the line and his versatility could come in handy for Marco Silva. While Bayern are ready to sanction a temporary departure, the final decision will rest with the player.
