Manchester United ready to offload Antony after Erik ten Hag exit

Manchester United are reportedly ready to entertain offers to part ways with Antony after sacking Erik ten Hag as the first-team boss.

According to a report by talkSPORT, Antony faces an uncertain future at Manchester United after the departure of Erik ten Hag. The Premier League heavyweights have parted with Erik ten Hag this week after a dreadful start to the 2024/25 season. The Red Devils are also ready to cut their losses on the former Ajax winger after wasting a lot of money on him.

Antony has blown hot and cold since joining Manchester United from Ajax in August 2022. The South American attacker was one of the first signings of the Erik ten Hag era, and the Dutch tactician kept faith in him for most of his spell at Old Trafford.

However, the 24-year-old attacker’s output left a lot to be desired, and he has struggled for goals since the start of the 2022/23 season. While the player has turned out nearly 100 times thus far for Manchester United, he has managed only 12 goals and five assists thus far while picking up more bookings than goals.

So, it is hardly surprising that Manchester United have been mulling over cashing in on Antony’s services in the January transfer window. In addition, recent reports have claimed that Manchester United might sanction a loan exit in the January transfer window to preserve his value before cashing in on him in the 2025 summer transfer window.
