Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have received a major boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid ace Rodrygo.
Rodrygo Goes has done wonders at Real Madrid in recent seasons and is undoubtedly one of the best young players in the world. However, his continuity in the Spanish capital is a major doubt.
According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal and Liverpool, who are both interested in Rodrygo, have received a boost in their pursuit as Carlo Ancelotti’s team are ready to sanction his departure.
The Brazilian international joined the Spanish giants as a teenage prospect in the summer of 2019. He has only gone from strength to strength over the years and has played a massive part in all the success they have had in recent years.
Despite his contribution to their success and his immense talent, he has not been able to establish himself as one of Real Madrid’s star forwards. The 23-year-old winger has been overshadowed by the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
While Carlo Ancelotti is still trying to ensure he gets as many minutes as possible, he might not have a long-term future at Madrid. Los Blancos could look to cash in on him if they receive the right offer.
Premier League move on the cards?
It will give them a massive financial boost, and Real Madrid could then focus on signing an out-and-out right winger to have a better-balanced front three. With Real Madrid ready to consider offers for Rodrygo, Arsenal and Liverpool have an opportunity to sign one of the best forwards in the world.
Mikel Arteta wants more firepower in the final third, and the Real Madrid star could be an ideal fit for them. Rodrygo’s arrival will give the Spanish manager a lot of tactical options as he can feature anywhere in attack. But, in general, he could make the left flank his own at the Emirates and help them win major titles.
With Mohamed Salah in the final phase of his career, Liverpool are on the lookout for their next big star. They want to bring in someone who can be the leader of their attack. Given the kind of potential Rodrygo has he could do wonders for the Merseyside club. But, the Real Madrid attacker will cost a fortune as he is only 23 and his contract at Madrid runs until the summer of 2028.
