Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up to make an offer for Borussia Dortmund attacking sensation Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham are interested in the services of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. They are closely monitoring the Borussia Dortmund winger and could soon launch a move to bring him back to England.
Bynoe-Gittens was a part of the Manchester City youth ranks and just like Jadon Sancho he left the Manchester-based club to join Borussia Dortmund to fast-track his route to the first team. While he started with their Under-19 team, he got promoted to the senior side in the summer of 2022 and has established himself as an important part of the team.
The 20-year-old English winger had an impressive campaign last time out. He was involved in 34 matches and ended up contributing towards 10 goals despite being on the pitch for less than 1,400 minutes. He has had a bigger role in the 2024/25 campaign so far.
In his ten outings, he has racked up over 500 minutes and has already contributed towards seven goals. The English youth international’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there are quite a few clubs that want to bring him back to his homeland.
Bynoe-Gittens’ contract with the German giants runs until the summer of 2028. With a significant time left in his deal, Dortmund will demand a significant fee to sanction his departure. He is quite highly rated by those in and around the team and any deal will only happen on Dortmund’s terms.
Tottenham are keen on signing Bynoe-Gittens
Tottenham are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 20-year-old winger. While signing a wide attacker doesn’t really seem to be a priority for the North London club, they could still look at Bynoe-Gittens as someone who can help replace skipper Son Heung-min in the long run.
More importantly, he perfectly fits their new transfer policy that focuses on signing young players with huge potential. Their scouts have been keeping a close eye on the English youth international. They feel he has all the qualities to succeed in the Premier League. As a result, Spurs are considering knocking on the doors of Dortmund in the near future.
