Real Madrid will only seal January move for Trent Alexander-Arnold on a bragain

Real Madrid would only consider signing Trent Alexander-Arnold in January if Liverpool agrees to the terms of the sale.

According to ABC via Sport Witness, Real Madrid is not showing too much enthusiasm about signing Trent Alexander-Arnold in January unless there’s a significant drop in his asking rate. Liverpool are unlikely to offer any discounts in the winter window, meaning the Spanish giants could angle a Bosman move in the summer.

The Trent Alexander-Arnold saga is about to hit new heights as speculation could intensify about his future at Liverpool. Contrasting reports coming from all over Spain and England have not clarified his future situation.

Reports from Spain suggest that Alexander-Arnold has decided to join Real Madrid next year when his contract expires at Anfield. It would be a big blow for Liverpool if that were to happen, considering how crucial he has been to their way of playing the game over the last few years.

Further stories have even gone the length to say that Alexander-Arnold is already talking to ‘best friend’ Jude Bellingham’ about life in Madrid, among other things. These are simply fuel to the fire, as many such reports will keep emerging between now and January.

Liverpool are also reportedly progressing in their efforts to offer him a new deal, as they prefer for the right-back to stay put and continue his association for years to come. Either way, these rumours have to be taken with a pinch of salt, as only Liverpool and Alexander-Arnold know what those plans are heading into the winter window.

Real Madrid unlikely to sign Alexander-Arnold in January

In the wake of Dani Carvajal’s season-ending injury, Real Madrid’s links to Alexander-Arniold have intensified, and there are suggestions they could make a move in January. However, the chances of the Liverpool key star arriving in the Spanish capital around then are remote at best, as his price point will play a huge role.

In fact, Real Madrid are not interested in signing him in January as opposed to the summer. However, they will only make the move if Liverpool drops their asking price significantly. The Reds are unlikely to offer discounts for one of their top stars, meaning this saga is about to drag until next summer unless the Merseysiders secure his future by tying him down to a new long-term deal.
