Arsenal keeping tabs on Jamie Leweling

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are closely monitoring German attacking sensation Jamie Leweling ahead of a potential transfer.

According to a report from TBR Football, Arsenal have already started planning for the upcoming transfer window, and they seem to be interested in the services of Jamie Leweling. The German winger has been on their radar for some time, and the Gunners’ representatives were in the stands to watch his debut for the national team.

After an impressive season at Union Berlin, Leweling made the move to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2023. While it was an initial loan move, he had an outstanding debut campaign and on the back of it, the move was made permanent earlier in the summer.

The youngster was involved in 34 league games last season. While he was on the pitch for just over 1,500 minutes he ended up contributing towards 11 goals (4 goals, 7 assists). He has carried on in a similar fashion this season and has been rewarded for his performances by Julian Nagelsmann.

Leweling was called up to the German national team for the ongoing international break and ended up making his debut against the Netherlands. The 23-year-old marked the occasion with a goal, and his performances impressed skipper Joshua Kimmich.

The Bayern Munich superstar said to the media after the game, “We’re very happy, we’re very proud of the performance today. Jamie has to be singled out today, not just because of his goal, he put in an outstanding performance.”

Arsenal are monitoring Stuttgart sensation Leweling

Leweling’s work has not gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs are keeping a close eye on him ahead of a potential transfer. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are one of the clubs who are interested in the left-winger’s services. Despite an impressive start to the season, Edu Gaspar is looking at ways to further reinforce their team and Leweling is on their wishlist.

Arsenal have been monitoring the German winger since the start of the season, and their representatives were in Munich to watch him in action on his debut for the national team. The Gunners are quite impressed with what they have seen from the 23-year-old, and they could knock on Stuttgart’s door to try and sign him. But, Arsenal could face competition from elsewhere as Leweling’s performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.
