Liverpool set to receive Alisson Becker offers next summer

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been linked with a move away from the Merseyside club in recent months.

According to a report by Football Insider, Liverpool medics are concerned about the recent injury problems that have hampered Alisson Becker. The Reds are now bracing themselves for offers for the Brazilian international, who is on £150,000-a-week wages. Alisson is sidelined with a hamstring problem right now.

There is no doubt that Alisson has established himself as one of the best players in the world, and he is certainly a world-class goalkeeper. He has helped Liverpool win several major trophies, and his departure could be a blow for the English club. It remains to be seen whether the Reds are ready to sanction his departure.

The experienced goalkeeper has a contract at Liverpool until 2027, but they have already signed a long-term replacement for him. Liverpool agreed on a deal to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia this past summer. It will be interesting to see if the Merseyside outfit decide to sell the Brazilian goalkeeper in the coming months.

The 32-year-old is reportedly a target for clubs in Saudi Arabia, and Liverpool could recoup a substantial amount of money for him. Alisson remains a world-class goalkeeper who would elevate the standard of the Saudi Pro League if he moves to Saudi Arabia in the near future. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Liverpool should hold on to Alisson

Ideally, Liverpool need to hold on to their best players if they are serious about pushing for major trophies. They will be hoping to win Premier League titles and Champions League trophies in the coming seasons. Alisson has been instrumental in their success in recent seasons, and Liverpool should look to nurse him back to full health and keep him for the foreseeable future.

Even though Mamardashvili has done quite well in La Liga and could prove to be a quality long-term replacement for Alisson, replacing the Brazilian right now would be difficult. The 32-year-old has been exceptional with his performances in the Premier League, and any replacement would be a downgrade on the South American.
