Borussia Dortmund open to selling Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Tottenham have received a major boost in their pursuit of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as Borussia Dortmund are ready to negotiate his departure.

According to a report from Football Insider, Borussia Dortmund will be open to sanctioning the departure of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens next summer. The German giants would let him leave the club as long as they received a suitable offer. It is a massive boost for Tottenham who have been monitoring the young winger for a while now.

Bynoe-Gittens was a part of the Manchester City youth ranks but things didn’t work out for him and he ended up making the move to Dortmund in the summer of 2020. He was promoted to the German club’s first team in the summer of 2022 and has slowly established himself as a regular.

He racked up decent minutes last season and seems to be having a breakthrough campaign this time around. The 20-year-old left winger who is a regular feature for England’s Under-21 team has featured in nine matches this season. He already has four goals and two assists despite starting just five of those outings.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed and he is already on the wishlist of multiple top clubs. While the English youth international’ contract with the German giants runs until the summer of 2028 as he penned an extension last year, they are still open to selling him next summer.

Tottenham receive a boost in Bynoe-Gittens pursuit

Dortmund always have lofty ambitions and they do compete for major titles but they have been a selling club from the start. Once again they are ready to sell the 20-year-old as long as they receive the right price.

While Chelsea and Liverpool have both been linked with Bynoe-Gittens, Tottenham are believed to be one who are most serious about their pursuit.

Son Heung-min will be 33 before the start of next season and Spurs need to think about the long-term replacement of the South Korean international. Given the kind of potential the English youth international has, he can surely help them.

With Dortmund ready to sell, Tottenham surely have a big boost. But, they will have to fork out a significant fee to get their hands on the youngster amidst interest from other top clubs.
